It's me, your friendly baby traveler! I'm up bright and early and ready for the day! We went downstairs to grab something for breakfast.
They had all the typical stuff for breakfast including a waffle maker. We made friends with a family and two young boys. I liked flirting with them.
Mommy forgot to put some pictures of our hotel room. It's large because it's an accessible room which gave me some room to play. It had two king size beds and a nice TV to watch my Disney Junior TV programs.
And we are off! What a nice sunny day! It's a bit brisk however. You can see part of the Brooklyn Bridge above Daddy's head in the picture. That's how close we are. Luckily we can't hear any traffic noise.
We are on our way to the
National 9/11 Memorial in lower Manhattan. You can see the Freedom Tower down Fulton St.
Mommy said the area is developed again, unlike when they seen it the last time, a year after 9/11. There were high security everywhere and tons of people waiting in line to go into the memorial. Dad said we will visit it one day when I am old enough. For now we got to see the North and South fountain Pools and One World Trade Center (formerly known as the Freedom Tower) up close.
The arch like building is the
Transportation Hub terminal for the PATH rail service.
We took a selfie from the mirrored glass of the Memorial. Inside is part of the original building structure. It got Mom all choked up.
We walked down Liberty and Broadway in search of
Wall Street and stumbled upon
Trinity Church. It has a tree structure in the courtyard made of a huge Sycamore tree destroyed in 9/11.
We tried locating the Charging Bull with no success.
But we did walk by the NYSE and the Federal Hall.
We have been passing this lighthouse during our walks. Its a memorial in a square called the
Titanic Memorial Park. We are getting hungry so we should make our way to our next destination. But first, a quick stop to the hotel.
